As Alpha of your Pack, it is your responsibility to:
- Recruit and coordinate a group of people into a Pack
- Designate a co-leader if you need help
- Name your Pack
- Register your Pack for the walk
- Encourage your pack members to increase their pledges by creating their own fundraising web page and e-mailing it to all of their contacts
- Remind your Pack members to ask sponsors if their company offers a matching gift program (this will count towards that individual’s & your Pack’s total $ raised)
- Keep in touch with your Pack members to see how they are doing and to motivate them to collect their donations from their sponsors. Here is a handy form to help you keep track of your Pack: Pack Tracking Form
- Complete your Pack’s Pre-Registration Form, collect all pack members’ registration forms and money & bring it to the shelter on one of the MANDATORY pre-registration dates (October 8,9 & 12)
- Pick up your Pack’s goodies at the shelter on October 20 and 21 and distribute to your members
- Inform your Pack of when & where to meet at the Walk for your Pack photo
Before Pre-Registration you need to:
The Day of the Walk:
- Make sure you get your Pack photo taken
- Gather and turn in any additional monies collected between Pre-Registration and Walk day
- Have a blast at the Walk!
